Christmas 2020 was one to remember in so many ways.
Halloween in St. Brigid’s NS, Greystones Halloween may be a bit different this year on account of Covid, but that didn’t stop us having a lot of fun here in school.
With Covid protocols in place, parents may be less familiar with the school building: classroom and corridors. So we have put together a series of tours of the classrooms. Look at all the work the children and their teachers have done since September. Perhaps you could watch this with your child and they could tell you about the work they are doing. It is interesting to see the development from year to year in the children’s art, writing and motor skills. It is interesting too to see the stages of teaching, particularly in Maths and Irish.
We also celebrated Maths Week in October 2020.
Here are the Marshmallow Challenge results for Maths Week 2020:
Ms. Walle’s 5th Class won in 2018 with a structure of 59cm.
Ms. Donnelly’s 5th Class were the winners in 2019 with 56cm.
So 5th Class led the challenge going into 2020.
This year congratulations to

These masterpieces were created by students of Ms.McNally’s after school art group. We think the use of charcoal captures the textures of the subject well.
