Saint Brigid’s National School, is a primary school situated in the centre of Greystones, Co. Wicklow. Our mission is to provide the highest quality education for all our children in a happy, safe and stimulating Christian environment, focusing on their academic, social, personal, moral and spiritual development to help them be the best they can be.

It is that time of year again, where WEATHER can be unpredictable. Please do not ring the school as once any decision on a weather related closure is made by the Board of Management parents will be informed. A text will go home. We will also post a notice on this website and on Class Dojo. Please make sure that the school has your most up to date number so that we can text you. It is unlikely the school would shut unless there was a red warning in the area, or if there were specific conditions in the local area that would make coming to school unsafe. As a rule of thumb we will always do our best to stay open unless the conditions become unsafe. We will be guided in this by the directions from the Minister/Department of Education. We will be following reports from Met Eireann and the National Emergency Co-ordination Committee that convenes when the weather is bad. All we can do is our best. We hope you find this information reassuring. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
