Dear Parents/ Guardians,

I hope you all had a good week and are looking forward to the rugby at the weekend. A massive game for Ireland as they take on the mighty South Africans in Paris on Saturday night. Facing the defending World Cup champions will be a huge challenge but fingers crossed it goes our way,

A busy week here again at St. Brigid’s with lots happening as you might expect.

Notification regarding the Board of Management’s review of the Child Safeguarding Statement – The Board of Management’s annual review of the school’s Child Safeguarding Statement was completed at our Board meeting on Tuesday 19th September.

Girls Gaelic Blitz 22 of our girls from 5th and 6th class headed off to Bray Emmets yesterday to participate in the first Girls Gaelic Blitz of the year.  The girls showed great skill on the field and demonstrated a true team spirit.  They enjoyed playing against many of the local schools and by the sounds of it they are a team to watch in the future. A big thank you to Ms. O’ Donnell and parent Aoife Cuddihy who accompanied them to the Blitz.

No Traffic Warden Friday Afternoon 22nd September Wicklow County Council have advised us that the school traffic warden on Church Road, near Fenton Fires is unavailable to attend the crossing on the afternoon of Friday 22nd September.

Unfortunately, Wicklow County Council does not have a substitute school warden to cover the afternoon.

We would ask that parents remind their children to take care when crossing the pedestrian crossing on Church Road when no warden is present.
