The Board of Management, Principal and Staff of St. Brigid’s NS have been informed that the sale of the former Holy Faith Convent to the Department of Education and Skills has now been completed. You will recall that legal difficulties considerably delayed the process. The Board is delighted that the former Convent has been purchased and will be trying to start using the property to increase the open space for children as soon as possible. The Board is seeking an urgent meeting with the Department of Education to progress matters. UPDATE: The Board of Management have written two letters to the Department of Education and Skills requesting a meeting but to date we have not received confirmation of an appointment. They have acknowledged receipt of our letters. The Board will work with all interested parties especially parents and staff to advance the development of the property for the school. We will keep you posted.
