Dear Parents/ Guardians,
Whole School Evaluation St. Brigid’s have been chosen for a Whole school Evaluation which will take place in school on Tuesday 3rd, Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th December 2024. We welcome the visit and look forward to showing the inspectors all the wonderful teaching and learning taking place in our school.
The reporting inspector has been in contact with me regarding the upcoming evaluation in your school. On Monday a letter and a link will be sent to parents for an online survey which they will access using the school roll number 16573N. The survey can be completed on any mobile, laptop or tablet device. This survey will be available to parents during the week prior to the inschool evaluation week and will close at 5pm on 03/12/2024. Parent surveys are available in multiple languages.
Admissions for Junior Infants 2024-2025.
The school shall cease accepting applications for admission this coming Monday 25th November. Monday 2nd December 2024 is the date by which applicants will be notified of the decision on their application.
Happy Birthday – Celebrating birthdays this week are Conor Higgins (8yrs), Lily Lockhart (12yrs), Corbyn Doyle 9yrs), Hollie McDonald Byrne (8yrs) Sebastian Nolan (11yrs), Kate McConville (10yrs), Keeva McGovern (11yrs), Stefan Dimitrijevic (12yrs) and Aarav Bishnu (7yrs). We wish them all a very happy birthday and hope they enjoy their special day.
After School Activities – Please check your calendar for the end date for After School Activities for this Term as many of them will finish up next week.
4th Class Swimming – Our 4th classes had their last swimming lesson yesterday. The Staff at Shoreline are delighted with the progress the children made over the last ten weeks. They complimented the boys and girls on how well behaved they were which is always lovely to hear. Maith sibh a pháistí. A big thank you to Ms. Heneghan, Ms. Mangan, SNAs Helen and Sharon and all the parents who accompanied the children to the pool over this time. It wouldn’t have been possible without you.

Greystones Cancer Society This week, we were visited by Amanda from Greystones Cancer Support. We presented them with a cheque for €977 raised from our Halloween bake sale.
Well done Bella A huge well done to Bella who created abeautiful outfit in her sewing class and is entering a competition this weekend. Such skill and talent. Well done Bella, we are very proud of you. You can see a picture of her lovely outfit on our Instagram page.
