NEW DATA REGULATIONS Friday 25th May 2018

Dear Parents/Guardians, As you aware, NEW DATA REGULATIONS will come into force from Friday 25th May 2018 throughout Europe.

As a school we are obliged to comply with these new regulations. What this means for us and you is that when we seek and hold information on your children to better provide for their education and care we must guarantee the following: To only seek and keep information related to your child’s education and where necessary his/her health. To use this information ONLY for the purpose for which it is gathered. To pass on some of this information to other bodies where relevant e.g. your chosen senior or Secondary School, the Department of Education and Skills, TUSLA, NEPS, School Completion Programme etc. You will have the right as parents to access and correct all information /data held on your child and we have designed a data access request form to enable you to do this. The school intends to become fully compliant. All relevant policies and procedures will be approved by the Board of Management and posted on our school website.
