Margaret Aylward Day

Margaret Aylward Day We celebrated the memory and legacy of Margaret Aylward the founder of the Holy Faith Sisters at the school this week. The Holy Faith Sisters have played a very important role in our community for over 100 years and continue to do so today.

On Monday 10th of October, children from our 5th and 6th classes visited St. David’s, Holy Faith, and joined their students in song with Margaret Aylward’s hymn. It was a wonderful occasion, shared by all involved. Take a look here.

On Tuesday 11th October, Margaret Aylward Day, we held a solemn and meaningful prayer service in the school hall. Children from 3rd to 6th class were in attendance, where they learned about Margaret Aylward and the Holy Faith Order. Prayers and reflections were led by the children. The Prayer Service concluded with the children singing the Margaret Aylward Hymn. A big thank you to Mr Dodd and the boys and girls in Room 19 for organising the day.
