Green Day

To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Friday 16th March, St. Brigid’s NS celebrated ‘Green Day.’ The Parents’ Association in partnership with the Student Council asked children and staff to come to school wearing green and to make a donation of a euro or two to the Gavin Glynn Foundation. It was the Student Council that decided on the charity chosen. In memory of a very special boy money is raised to help families with children who have cancer travel to get treatment abroad. 956 euro was raised for a very good cause. ‘Green Day’ finished on a high with a wonderful outdoor concert organised by 6th class teacher Mr. Martin Dodd. The concert marked the end of a most successful Coicís na Gaeilge. Students and teachers would like to say Thank you!
