Emergency Closures Policy
On account of weather conditions
e.g. heavy snowfall, strong winds or flooding
If the Board of Management decides the school should not open on account of weather conditions, the school will Text-A-Parent and post on the school website.
If the bad weather is prolonged over a number of days parents will be informed of re-opening dates through Aladdin Connect. We will also put up this information on the school website.
If the school has already in operation when such a situation occurs, staff will remain on premises until all children have been collected by either parents/guardians. In exceptional cases it may be considered safer for all to remain on the premises.
Please note; All half days and in-service closures are notified to parents at least one week in advance.
