Newsletter 29 – 10th May 2024
Dear Parents/ Guardians,
A lovely short week this week and it is nice to see the temperature rising and the sun making an appearance at last. Everything just looks so much better in the sun.
May Assemblies It was lovely to hear all that Room 20 and Room 7 have been learning over the last month at our May Assemblies on Wednesday. Room 20 wowed us with their Irish Rap and beautiful origami Art work and Room 7 were so happy to be performing their favourite songs “When I Grow Up” , and “An Chircín Rua” . Leading Assemblies is a great experience for the children, helping to build confidence and providing them with an opportunity to have their voice heard.
Can you help? In advance of the installation of Solar Panels at our school, we need a written report from a structural engineer on the state of the roof. If you are a structural engineer or can recommend one, we would love to hear from you.

Standardised Testing – Standardised testing will be taking place over the course of the next couple of weeks at the school. Every year we advise that parents shouldn’t be overly concerned about test results unless the teacher is. As in other years, if a teacher has concerns, he or she will be in contact with you with advice as to how you can help your child and plan for the future for addressing any difficulties your child may be having.
Let’s continue to make every school day count. School Attendance this week was 92.4%. Absence 7.6%.
