The Annual Christmas Decoration Making Competition

‘Wicklow County Council is organising the ANNUAL CHRISTMAS DECORATION COMPETITION for all Primary School pupils again this year. The challenge is for children to make Christmas Tree Decorations out of recycled materials such as paper, cardboard, newspapers, plastic and glass bottles, tin cans, milk and juice cartons, etc. We want each school to submit its best decoration for the County final, which will be judged by a panel on the 14th of December.  As the standard of decorations is always high and schools have commented that it can be hard to select one winner up to two decorations per school will be accepted for the county final this year.  Entries should be submitted along with the attached entry form by Thursday the 14th of December. Winning entries will be selected and a presentation will be made to the county winners at a prize-giving ceremony in County Buildings, Wicklow Town on Tuesday the 19th of December at 6.00 pm.  All participants are welcome to attend the prize giving ceremony. Prize winners will be notified prior to the event.’
