After School Activities
Activities take place after school hours and details are made available in early September. All classes are provided by suitably qualified personnel.
Please note the following: Our duty of care ends at 1.40p.m. /2.40p.m. when children are dismissed from school. Our duty of care is extended to 3.45p.m. when children undertake Board of Management-approved activities in school or on school grounds.
It is the responsibility of parents to ensure that children who have enrolled for an after-school activity on the school grounds turn up for the activity and remain on the school grounds until the activity is finished.
It is also the responsibility of parents to ensure that children are collected on time from after-school activities.
If children enrol for an activity at another location, e.g. Kilian House, Eire Óg, Shoreline or the athletics grounds, it is the responsibility of parents to bring their children to the correct location, supervise them and collect them on time.
Only children who enrol for an after-school activity may stay at school for that activity.
A child participating in after-school activities may not leave the school grounds before or during the activity, e.g. between 2.40p.m. and 3.40p.m.
Swimming
When: Thursday
Where: Shoreline Swimming Pool
Classes: 2nd, 3rd & 4th
Note: Swimming is now part of the the school day. Lessons have been arranged for 2nd, 3rd and 4th classes for the coming school year. 4th will do 10 weeks in Term 1, 3rd will do 10 weeks in Term 2 and 2nd will do 8 weeks in Term 3.
Athletics
When: Thursday

Children are given the opportunity to learn sporting and athletics skills from experienced trainers with their classmates in an excellent facility at a low cost group rate. Parents are asked to volunteer one hour of their time per term to help supervise at the venue.
Basketball
When: 2.45pm - 3.45pm
6th-Mon | 4th-Tues | 3rd-Thurs | 5th-Fri
Commencing 11th September.
Where: School Basketball Court
Note: Basketball for 3rd class ends on 19th March, as league starts after Easter.
Short Tennis
When: Tuesdays
Where: Kilian House Family Centre
